It all started with a FB tag...

One bright sunny day, I was checking my Facebook account and saw a notification that I was tagged in a photo… To my horror, it was a Primary 6 class photo in which I looked totally fat and completely unglam!! Turns out it was Minyun, the only primary school mate I still kept in contact, who tagged me on this photo! It was uploaded by a certain Clifford Koh who vaguely looked like an old classmate but I couldn’t be sure. That was a whole long trail of comments already and before I knew what hit me, I was receiving numerous email notifications of new comments on the photo and friend requests from people whose names were not familiar! Still, it was lots of fun reading all the comments reminiscing the old days of smelly handkerchiefs, dreading the visit to the school dentist, childhood crushes, nicknames, etc…

Can you spot me?

Best of all, a reunion dinner was promptly arranged with two of our fav teachers, Mr Gan and Ms Daisy Chia, being invited! It was really fun finally meeting all of these old frens! Each one brought their respective autograph books, the “famous” and oft-mentioned Pri 6B newsletter/year book/magazine, old photographs! We have all come a long way with a doctor, a police superintendent, armed forces personnel, a lawyer, and bankers in our midst! And of course many married with kids too! Till the next gathering!

The teacher on the extreme left is none other than Mr Gan!

The class magazine!

I was known as “the shyest and most soft-spoken girl of the class”!

Here we are, all grown up!

My favourite-est teacher of all my primary school days, Mr Gan! He always had a ready smile for every one of his students! His fatherly nature and love for us all really inspired me! I am really grateful to him cos my grades really shot up when I was taught by him! He even remembers my mum! =)
