Celebrations started early this month.. first up was my poly frens' gathering at Magma German Bistro. We haven't met up for a long time.. almost a year perhaps!! Had a simple gift exchange and was blessed with a nice belt from Ying Ying! Thanks gal!
Shared some extremely 'porky' pork knuckles... there were 3 'little pork feet' on the plate, we were joking that we will have nightmares seeing little pork legs chasing us in our sleep!
Not forgetting Christmas cg with the very exciting gift exchange! Some people are just destined to get girly stuff although they are grown men! Hee! I really enjoyed the Christmas carol game where we had to belt out Christmas carols. You realised how well (or not well) you know your Christmas carols!
In office, though there weren't any Christmas decor, the CEM staff came by and sang carols.. quite a nice gesture from them to spread the holiday mood! It's quite sweet of them, and there was even guitar accompaniment! They even sent us a special email greeting with the pic they took with us.In Joe's office, they even had a Christmas decor contest and I heard that they were very creative, making fake snow, making Rudolph and a sleigh of presents, hanging a toy train set from the ceiling and others... wow! It's the little touches that create the holiday atmosphere. For my dept, it's the numerous chocolates, calendars and cakes from our suppliers and vendors that bring the Christmas mood!
Then for my own dept lunch, went to one of my boss' fav restaurants, Jade @ Fullerton Hotel. It was a good time of chatting and relaxing though we all needed several reminders to not talk about work!
Of course,
Christmas is not Christmas without the multiple Christmas services. Great drama, power-packed preaching and over 50,000 people attending the services! The best part was the lighting the candles! Yes, in the midst of darkness, remember the light within us combined is more powerful than the darkness! Finally, had a fun-filled family gathering on Christmas Day with my aunt and cousins, nieces and nephews! Shall just end with some pictures to relive the fun time we had!
