The festive season is here and I’m sure many of you must be busy with gift-buying, gift-wrapping and gift-giving! It can be tiring at times but it always feels good to get a good gift that you know the recipient will appreciate! :) Be inspired by the colorful video below and inject a bit of color into your gift-giving this year! Ruby: is it red, purple or pink? Maybe it’s a mix of all three?
Do you know what is the favourite colour for both males and females? Blue! According to research done here (PDF file)
I think blue is very likely to be God’s favourite colour too cos He created water (which covers 70% of the earth’s surface) and skies (which in its ever changing beauty always seems like an artwork) in blue!
Will this thought change the way you think about Monday blues? :)
Black and white, dark and light, complete opposite ends of the spectrum.
Yet they can come together and complement each other so well.
Is that why they say opposites attract? :)
I found it quite challenging to take pictures of gold items this month. I realise that you do not really find “gold” in everyday items around you. Rather, the colour gold is more often than not found in created objects. I wonder if that is what makes it more precious? That it takes a whole process of time and effort for gold to come forth. Reminds me of a verse in the Bible:
But He knows the way that I take; When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.
Before showing my snaps for this month of May, I was introduced to a different kind of orange by Calvin and Henry. They were excitedly telling me one day that they wanted to watch Youtube videos of “Annoying Orange” on my iPhone! And this character even has Facebook and Twitter accounts! Remember the Children Church’s trailer for Easter Surprise where different eggs were exclaiming “Hey!” repeatedly? Apparently it was inspired by Annoying Orange! Check out the video below!

I have always had a “love-dislike” relationship with yellow, in large part due to my previous employment at a certain yellow bank. We used to joke that some in the bank had yellow blood. Yet surprisingly, I chose yellow as my wedding colour theme cos I love its sunshine-y connotations, symbolizing a bright future ahead. I made all my Jie Meis wear yellow, don’t they just look so cheery and happy?
Kate Spade just re-launched their website while unveiling their latest colour of the month – yup you guess it, it’s yellow! Their new website is really cool, and the key change is it aims to move away from a mere e-commerce site to one with branded content. Kate Spade is one of the most social media savvy brands around with their Facebook page, Tumblr page, Twitter account and Instagram account. The website brings all of this content together.
