Happy Happy Birthday Hubby!! (Part 1)

This week was a super busy week at work due to the upcoming SALE. One night I worked till 2am in the office, then went back home to work some more! Super tiring! And I am not done yet! Still more work awaiting me when Monday rolls around!

But well, at least my fun colleagues help make the work so much more manageable! This week we played a trick on a colleague who was down with flu. Check it out below!!

Hhahah! Yah, it ‘s a face mask especially for his desktop!! Wahahah!

And of cos, I took half day to celebrate my dearest hubby’s birthday! =) His birthday celebration started on Tue night after Leaders’ Meeting. I surprised him with a Thomas the Train Mini Cake! And he was very pleased! Hahha! Cos it reminds him of his fav nephew, Jayden =)))

Then it was Treasure Hunt time!

Based on the clue card, he had to find where his present was hidden! After some prompting from me, he found it!

Then it’s time for a 2nd card, but no present this time lah! It’s just details how we are going to spend the next day together!

The actual day

We wanted to try the Dim Sum buffet at Yum Cha recommended by Jerb. It’s located at Chinatown area and as we were too early so we walked around t0 explore. And we saw this cute little stone carved bench that Dear said we should buy and put at our door….. hmmmm!!!

Then it was time to Yum Cha! The restaurant is on the 2nd floor of a shophouse and it has a nice atmosphere but of course most people were more interested in gobbling down the food!

The moment we sat down, the wait staff started to push their trolleys over and rattled off the food items they had on hand. So we just said “Ok, err.. ok …” without really thinking! It was quite a spread!

Some dishes were ok, some … really awful! I think their deserts and fried stuff are yummy but their xiao long bao …….. !!!! Maybe we should have been more selective on what we chose or just order off their menu rather than take those that were “forced” on us. Also, we concluded that we shan’t go for buffet again cos we surely lose out! Only after maybe 5 dishes, we were actually feeling full already! We have small appetites! So we came out with

5 Ways to Get Rid of Buffet Food

1) Bite into them and leave the half-eaten food on your plates. Surely they can’t charge you for food you couldn’t finish cos it just tasted so bad!!!

2) Throw out the window! Make sure you get a window seat!

3) Use tissue paper

Step 1: Place the food on the tissue paper

Step 2: Carefully wrap it up

Step 3: Viola! It’s done!

4) Bring along a plastic bag just in case

If the food is good, can taobao! If bad, can use as a trash bag!

5) The most ingenious idea of all, thought of by none other than my genius husband – hide it in the tea pot!

Disclaimer: you can try the above ideas but dun say you got them from us!!!
